Sandro Assogna, Attorney at Law –
French and International Taxation.

An international background dedicated to tax matters for individuals and businesses

I trained in law in Italy before completing a specialised Master’s Degree in Corporate Tax Law at Bocconi University, which initiated my professional path towards cross-border taxation. After an experience in London, I joined Deloitte Société d’Avocats in Paris, where I spent ten years within the individual taxation and international mobility department. I became Senior Manager and a member of the Franco-British team dedicated to Brexit-related matters. In this role, I regularly assisted, alongside Deloitte teams, several CAC 40 executives as well as internationally recognised artists and athletes.

French and international taxation, from structuring to litigation

My practice covers tax audit and tax litigation in France, situations of double taxation on income and capital gains, disputes relating to tax residence, permanent establishment qualification, and abuse of law in domestic or cross-border contexts. I also intervene in group taxation and transfer pricing, as well as in matters involving the international mobility of companies and individuals.

I assist clients in remuneration structuring (management packages, carried interest, long-term incentives, employee shareholding) and in the tax management of international assets, including holdings, trusts, fiducie and foundations. Several matters handled with partner law firms in the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, Spain and Portugal have led to the formation of tailored teams suited to the technical, patrimonial and international complexity of each case.

A practice built on experience, technical expertise and international networks

I currently serve as a Delegate within the International Bar Association and collaborate regularly with member firms on cases involving multiple jurisdictions. My professional approach includes continuous training and academic development within the IACF (Institut des Avocats Conseils Fiscaux) and AUREP in the field of wealth engineering.
